avid Roy is the former skating coach for the Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Canadian National Team and Canadian Women's Olympic Team, and has conducted skating schools in Canada and the USA for over 28 years. Each year he works with over 1,400 hockey skaters from various parts of the world. David currently works with the Vancouver Canucks and has seen significant improvement in the skating of such players as Jason King, Daniel and Henrik Sedin.

Hockey players from the organizations of many NHL teams have attended David's pro camps including the Dallas Stars, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Colorado Avalanche, Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightening, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Phoenix Coyotes, San Jose Sharks and Atlanta Thrashers.
